Transcription is dysregulated in Pol?-deficient cells

This RNA-seq analysis was performed to address transcriptional response of Pol?-deficient cells (rad30?) before and after DSB-induction. We found that transcriptional response is dysregulated in the rad30? mutant regardless of DSBs, with decreased chromatin association of RNAPII on active genes. Based on these results, we further investigated formation of damage-induced cohesion in relation to active transcription. Overall design: RNA-sequencing to compare gene expression between WT and Pol?-deficient cells, before and after DSB-induction in G2/M phase.
