Avistamiento de oportunidad de fauna marina en crucero de investigación costa a fuera, La Guajira Colombia

Este recurso presenta 10 registros de observaciones biológicas de megafauna marina, obtenidos en el marco del proyecto \"Análisis de información de línea base ambiental, como apoyo al crecimiento sostenible del sector energético en áreas de interés costa afuera – Caribe colombiano,\" realizado en conjunto por el Instituto de Investigaciones Marinas y Costeras – Invemar y la Agencia Nacional de Hidrocarburos – ANH en 2024. El 40% de los registros corresponde a mamíferos marinos, destacándose las ocurrencias de Stenella frontalis (delfín moteado) y Tursiops truncatus (delfín nariz de botella); aves, peces y cnidarios agrupan el 60% restante de las observaciones.
This resource presents ten records of biological observations of marine megafauna obtained within the framework of the ‘Analysis of environmental baseline information to support the sustainable growth of the energy sector in areas of interest offshore – Colombian Caribbean’ project, which was conducted jointly by the Institute of Marine and Coastal Research (INVEMAR) and the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH) in 2024. Marine mammals accounted for 40% of the observations, with the occurrence of Stenella frontalis (spotted dolphins) and Tursiops truncatus (bottlenose dolphins) standing out in particular. Birds, fish and cnidarians accounted for the remaining 60%.
