The aim of this experiment was to compare gene expression profiles of Prevotella intermedia strain 17 in biofilm to those of strain 17 in planktonic condition. Total RNA was extracted from 12hr cultures of P. intermedia strain 17 on anaerobic blood agar plates as biofilm mode and in enriched trypticase soy broth as planktonic condition, respectively. Then, the total RNA was applied to microarray analysis to compare gene expression profiles.
