Send in the B Team: Declining Executive Branch Participation in Congressional Hearings

Witness lists, including hearing and witness titles, hearing dates, and type of hearing for hearings held during the 111th-115th Congresses, for the following committees: U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, House Financial Services Committee, Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee, and House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. The dataset includes 9,449 witnesses who provided in-person testimony before these committees over the decade between 2009 and 2018.
