The Paleobiology Database is a public paleontological database that contains paleontological fossil data and is accessible to all users. It includes 521,260 taxa, 2,000,713 fossil records, and 95,002 references. Users can explore the dataset online via the Navigator, filter fossil occurrences based on time, space and taxonomy, and download the data to carry out their own analyses. The database is maintained by an international non-governmental group of nearly 400 paleontologists from over 130 institutions.
