资源简介:
The primary objectives of this investigation encompassed a comparative analysis of the translation processes inherent in Machine Translation (MT) and Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT). Concurrently, this study sought to evaluate the efficacy of these technologies in Thai-English translation, employing the LISA QA model to gauge translation quality across seven error categories. Lastly, an exploration of potential challenges associated with the utilization of these translation tools was undertaken. Analysis of the findings revealed the presence of four out of the seven error types stipulated by the LISA QA model in the translation of four Thai novels, denoted as Mistranslation, Language, Terminology, and Consistency. The preponderance of errors was attributed to Mistranslation, accounting for 39.76% of the total errors, observed in translations from Thai to English in the novels "The Happiness of Kati," "The Judgment," "Behind the Painting," and "Four-Regions."
