资源简介:
Eocanthecona furcellata, commonly known as the predatory stink bug, is a globally significant biological control agent used in integrated pest management (IPM) to suppress key agricultural pests. Despite its ecological and economic importance, advanced molecular and genomic studies have been constrained by the absence of a high-quality reference genome. To address this critical gap and provide a foundational resource for the scientific community, we initiated a comprehensive genome sequencing project. This BioProject entry specifically archives the complete set of raw sequencing data generated for the de novo assembly and annotation of the first chromosome-level genome for E. furcellata, and is distinct from the final genome assembly record. The dataset is comprised of four distinct data types: (1) 41.94 Gb of PacBio HiFi long-read sequencing data, intended for generating the primary high-accuracy contigs; (2) 56.12 Gb of Illumina paired-end short-read sequencing data (NGS) for genomic polishing and quality validation; (3) 68.62 Gb of in situ high-throughput chromatin conformation capture (Hi-C) sequencing data for scaffolding contigs into chromosome-level structures; and (4) a multi-tissue pooled transcriptome (RNA-seq) dataset to support high-quality gene annotation. This collection of raw data will enable independent assembly validation and facilitate a broad range of future investigations into the genomics of predation, insecticide resistance, and evolution within the Pentatomidae family.
