Abstract
Title of program: RAMFLA Catalogue number: AARO Program obtainable from: CPC Program Library, Queen's University of Belfast, N. Ireland (see application form in this issue) Computer: VAX 11 Digital; Installation: D.K.F.Z. Heidelberg Operating system: VAX/VMS Programming language used: FORTRAN 77 High speed storage required: greater than 256x256, depends on the user choice for the number of surface elements No. of bits in a word: 32 Overlay structure: none Peripherals used: TEKTRONIX display, ...
Title of program: RAMFLA
Catalogue Id: AARO_v1_0
Nature of problem
The interactive package presented here is used to interpolate by a nine- point formula a general surface given by the equation: F(X,Y,Z)=0 with the arguments parametrically defined by: X=f(u,v); Y=g(u,v); Z=h(u,v). Use is made of 3 bicubic (or biparabolic or bilinear) B-splines in order to interpolate f,g and h respectively. The main application is the reconstruction of surfaces given in computer tomography. Hidden lines are deleted and a shadowed program is also provided.
