Dataset used in the paper "A spatial framework for optimizing UAV-based mangrove restoration using multi-scale remote sensing", submitted to "Environmental Modelling and Software". Three categories of files can be accessed: 1- UAE_training_points.geojson: training dataset used to perform land-cover classification. Each point belongs to one of the following 5 classes: 0 - mangrove; 1- water; 2- soil; 3- bacterial mats; 4- other vegetation. 2- sample_vegetation: these raster images are examples of land-cover classification performed on low-resolution satellite imagery around the UAE 3- sample_tides: these raster images are examples of tidal analysis performed on low-resolution satellite imagery around the UAE. Each pixel has a value between 0 and 100, representing the percentage of time spent under water for a particular time interval.
