The goal of this study was to determine the RNAs that directly bind eukaryotic translation initiation factor eIF3 in activated and non-activated Jurkat cells. Overall design: Jurkat cells labeled with 4-thiouridine were treated were treated +/- phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) and ionomycin (IONO) for 5 hours, then crosslinked using 364 nm light, followed by isolation of RNAs crosslinked to eIF3, which were then prepared for DNA deep sequencing.
