NRS-34 | Finance memoranda

The two files in 5/2731 enclose collections of miscellaneous finance memoranda relating mainly to Government banking arrangements, government loans, stamp duty, loan conversions and the inscription of stock. The material consists of correspondence and reports (often printed by order of Parliament or other interests eg. banks), blank sample prospectuses for loans, copies of acts, newspaper cuttings, pamphlets, minutes of meetings, etc. Some documents relate to other colonies eg. Consolidated Stock Acts 1877, 1881, 1884 of New Zealand, notices of the conversion of the public debt of the Cape of Good Hope 1886 and 1887. The volume at 5/2732 consists of composites of various memoranda covering all subjects eg. arrangements with banks, advances on loans, conversion, tenders for loans, issues, bills of exchange and Treasury bills, stamp duty copies of telegrams etc. (5/2731-32). 1 box, 1 vol.
