VPRS 16871 Trainee Nurse's Lecture Notes (Beverley Joy Wollmer)

This series consists of lecture notes and a project scrapbook that belonged to Beverley Wollmer who was a Trainee Nurse at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH). Beverley began her training at RCH Carlton in 1960 and finished it at RCH Parkville in 1963. She became a Sister and worked in the area of Orthopaedics.The scrapbook (unit 2) is the result of a nursing project on health models in other public hospitals by joint trainees Beverley Wollmer and E. Hinchcliffe. It includes information collected on infection control, hygiene and sanitation, care of the newborn and immunisation, nutrition and dental care. Many relevant publications and newspaper cuttings are glued to the pages of the scrapbook under the various headings by which information is arranged.Note that lecture notes for other trainees may be found in VPRS 16858Trainee Nurse's Lecture Notes.Prior to transfer to Public Record Office Victoria, the records in this series were maintained as part of the RCH Archives. They were part of RCH accession number 2004/004. The circumstances in which the records became part of the RCH Archives is subject to further research.
