Learning Health Systems (LHS) are an emerging model of healthcare improvement that posits that cyclical healthcare improvement can be catalysed through the alignment of people, culture and technology. However, its implementation at scale remains limited. This thesis thus develops a i) LHS Maturity Matrix assessment tool to guide and enable the large scale implementation of LHSs and a series of semi-automated evidence synthesis workflows to enable ongoing LHS sustainability.
