Phosphate Immobilization by Mackinawite in Freshwater Sediments and the Competitive Role of Organic Carbon

This dataset supports the findings reported in the manuscript on the adsorption properties of iron sulfide (FeS) materials toward organic carbon and phosphate, and their structural evolution upon oxidation. It includes adsorption isotherm data, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) patterns, and post-treatment elemental concentrations relevant to iron and phosphate retention mechanisms.
