Digital Archive from an Archaeological Watching Brief at Anderton Boat Lift, Northwich, March 2024

This collection comprises image, text and vector data from an archaeological watching brief which was undertaken at Anderton Boat Lift, Northwich, Cheshire by Archaeological Research Services Ltd (ARS Ltd) on behalf of the Canal and River Trust during March 2024. The purpose of the watching brief was to record any archaeological remains that survived on the site while a new drainage system was installed. The proposed development area lies directly beneath the 19th century Anderton Boat Lift itself, which is a Scheduled Monument. No features of archaeological significance were encountered during the watching brief.
