BRISBANE Block Identification Map Series B - Onshore - Graticular Sections. The Block Identification System is a geographic grid pattern using the basic unit (a BLOCK) of 5 minutes of latitude by 5 minutes of longitude. The sub-unit (a SUB-BLOCK) is 1 minute of latitude by 1 minute of longitude. The Block Identification System is the approved reference system for Exploration Titles (Authorities to Prospect) enacted in 1967.
