Nurturing Hope in Rwandan Healthcare Settings: Exploring Factors that Influence Hope Among Healthcare Providers, Pregnant Women, and Mothers with Children Under Five Years

This dataset contains a qualitative codebook and a thematic definitions files developed as part of the study, which explores the dimensions of hope among healthcare providers (HCPs) and healthcare recipients (HCRs) within health system strengthening contexts. Both codebook and thematic description include clear definitions, aligned with the hope framework (interconnectedness, readiness for change, future mindset), and illustrative anonymized quotes to guide qualitative analysis and facilitate secondary use. The thematic definitions file summarizes overarching subthemes with concise explanations to support interpretation. These materials aim to contribute to global health research and practice by providing structured tools for understanding psychosocial and systemic factors that shape hope in healthcare settings.
