The GetOurData HRIS and Payroll Solution makes it point-and-click easy to extract data from over 190 HRIS & Payroll providers, transform it to be analytics-ready and load it securely to your Snowflake data warehouse on your desired schedule so you always have fresh, lowest-level data to drive workforce analytics and reporting. Most modern HRIS and payroll systems today are SaaS products which means organizations don't control, or have direct access to, the underlying database of data. This makes it challenging when trying to do workforce and payroll cost analytics. Many analytics teams resort to doing constant exports of CSVs containing active employee rosters, payroll transaction data, benefits data etc. But when it comes to payroll this data typically changes weekly. Line managers need to understand what's happening to labor deployment, cost and utilization on a near real-time basis in order to control labor costs. This makes "the CSV shuffle" a highly unproductive or even untenable approach for organizations serious about tightly managing what is usually their largest expense: labor. With GetOurData, after a simple one-time setup, your lowest-level payroll data will be automatically extracted and synced to your Snowflake data warehouse on a schedule. No orchestrating code or learning complex ETL tools, no maintaining custom data pipelines that break when APIs change and not a CSV export-import-mashup in sight! Simply connect your BI tool of choice to your Snowflake database and let analysts focus on what they do best: analyze, visualize and draw insight from your data. This marketplace dataset is simulated and does not represent real people or pay statements. However, it conforms to the GetOurData "Unified Data Model" for payroll and HRIS data. This means if you use GetOurData to extract and transform data to be analytics-ready from the API of your payroll or HRIS provider it too will conform to the same data model structure whichever provider you use. We query the underlying API and its endpoints, iterate through thousands of pages of JSON responses extracting all their data. Then convert those complex nested API responses, that no BI or reporting tool understands, into beautiful rows, columns and tables ready for analysis. We create all the unique keys you will need to join the resulting tables together in your BI tool since they do not exist in the raw API responses. We even give you a BI data model template (currently available for Tableau) so the analyst doesn't need to do any data modeling before jumping right into their analysis. Best of all we do all of this in the background completely automatically. Just set it and forget it! We can do this for much more than HRIS and Payroll data too as GetOurData can extract data from almost any of the 50,000+ APIs out there. What about data security I hear you ask. Well we designed it in. Your organization controls the destination data store and grants us only the minimum privileges needed to write data to it. Once there we cannot see it, or anything else. And once each API endpoint refresh completes we automatically purge all work-in-process data packets from our servers and never store your data. So while GetOurData runs on highly secure AWS infrastructure we also make sure any window of exposure in moving your data is extremely limited, in most cases to just a few minutes.
