Wounding response in wild type and JA-deficient mutants

Wounding of ten-day-old seedlings of wild type and the opr2opr3 and aos mutants from Arabidopsis thaliana (Col-0 ecotype) grown in liquid media. Seedlings were pre-treated with MeJA on days 4, 5, and 6 of development to mimic the jasmonic acid (JA) positive feedback loop during development that is missing in the JA-mutants. Control samples were harvested without wounding, while the wounded ones were mechanically injured using forceps and harvested one hour post-wounding. Individuals from the opr2opr3 mutant were treated with OPDA for 30 minutes and compared to the controls treated with water instead.
