Data for: A phase Ib/II single-blinded, randomised, controlled study to determine safety, immunogenicity and efficacy of the candidate Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) vaccine ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 in adults in Kenya

The dataset contains information on demographics, safety and immunogenicity collected to evaluate whether the ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 vaccine is safe, elicits good immune responses and protects Kenyan adults from COVID19. The persistence of these immune responses was investigated up to 12 months following immunization with a single dose of vaccine at Day 0 and booster dose at Day 84 post first dose. A Data Management team was located at KEMRI CGMRC with data collection using eCRFs/CRFs by designated staff. Clinician/data entry clerks/trained study team members used password-protected computers. Data was entered onto an electronic database. This was done via a secure web interface with data checks used during data entry to ensure data quality. The database was activated for the study only after successfully passing a formal design and test procedure. The trial is registered on ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT04324606
