The endophytic fungal species Talaromyces trachyspermus was isolated from plant Withania somnifera of Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh state, India). Fungal species is responsible for production of secondary metabolites of medical importance. It has exhibited the properties of phosphate solubilization, siderophore production, besides production of various enzymes, protease, chitinase, amylase, cellulase, pectinase. This study was carried out for exploring the PGP properties and bio-control of Talaromyces species. The genome sequencing was done with an aim to explore the metabolic pathway and genomic architecture responsible for PGP properties, important enzyme and secondary metabolites of medicinal importance.
