Data and R code for: Perceived school organizational support and innovative teaching behavior of double-qualified teachers: The mediating role of emotional exhaustion and the moderating role of role conflict

This dataset contains the anonymized raw data and the R code used to reproduce all tables and figures of the paper “Perceived school organizational support and innovative teaching behavior of double-qualified teachers: The mediating role of emotional exhaustion and the moderating role of role conflict.” Study design: A two-wave longitudinal design with a time lag of approximately five weeks was used. Double-qualified teachers from 26 higher vocational institutions in China (vocational undergraduate institutions and higher vocational colleges), selected by stratified sampling, were invited to participate (n = 652). Perceived school organizational support, role conflict, and demographic variables were measured at T1; emotional exhaustion and innovative teaching behavior were measured at T2. Of the 598 T1 questionnaires returned, 556 were valid; 501 teachers responded at T2, and the final valid matched sample comprised 485 teachers. Data were collected between April and August 2026. Files: Raw_data_double-qualified_teachers_two_wave.xlsx: four sheets. Codebook gives variable names, coding, and ranges. Raw_data contains item-level responses for all 598 returned T1 questionnaires, together with data-quality indicators (attention check items, response time, straight-lining) and exclusion flags and reasons. Valid_sample contains the 485 retained teachers with scale mean scores. Exclusion_log gives the sample flow and the number excluded for each reason. Reproduce_paper_tables_and_figures.R: R script that reproduces Tables 1–6 and Figures 1–3 of the paper (confirmatory factor analysis, regression with cluster-robust standard errors, percentile bootstrap method, cluster bootstrap, and Johnson–Neyman technique). Paper_tables_and_figures_reproduction.xlsx: output generated by the R script. Measures: POS1–POS8, perceived school organizational support (7-point; items 2, 3, 5, and 7 are reverse-scored items); RC1–RC8, role conflict (7-point); EE1–EE9, emotional exhaustion (0–6 frequency scale); ITB1–ITB6, innovative teaching behavior (5-point). How to reproduce: Place the R script and the raw data file in the same folder and run the script in R (version 4.6.1 was used). Required packages: readxl, lavaan, sandwich, lmtest, ggplot2 (version 3.5.0 or later), showtext, and openxlsx. Random seeds are fixed (20260401 for the percentile bootstrap with 5,000 resamples; 20260402 for the cluster bootstrap with 2,000 resamples), so all results are fully reproducible. Privacy: All data are anonymized. Teachers and schools are identified only by codes, and no personally identifying information is included. All participants provided online informed consent.
