Dataset for: Long-term human movement dynamics and the contemporary distribution of Casearia sylvestris in Southern Brazil
收藏资源简介:
CSV file containing the analytical dataset used in the statistical analyses of Casearia sylvestris abundance and occurrence in southern Brazil. The dataset includes environmental, climatic, archaeological probability, movement-cost, and Indigenous Territory distance variables for 428 vegetation sampling units. Variable description Casearia – Number of Casearia sylvestris individuals recorded in each sampling unit (abundance). 1x0 – Presence (1) or absence (0) of Casearia sylvestris in each sampling unit. jes_prob – Modeled probability of past meridional-Jê occupation derived from archaeological distribution models. guarani_prob – Modeled probability of past Guarani occupation derived from archaeological distribution models. SOMA_probs – Sum of meridional-Jê and Guarani occupation probabilities. CS_JE – Movement cost surface value representing landscape resistance for meridional-Jê mobility. Lower values indicate lower movement cost. CS_GUA – Movement cost surface value representing landscape resistance for Guarani mobility. Lower values indicate lower movement cost. JE_DIST_CAMINHO – Distance to modeled meridional-Jê movement pathways. dist_cam_je – Distance to reconstructed meridional-Jê circulation routes. peral_devpad – Standard deviation of elevation within the sampling unit, representing local topographic heterogeneity. rios_1e2ord – Distance to first- and second-order streams. rios_3e4ord – Distance to third- and fourth-order streams. 5a8_dist – Distance to higher-order rivers (orders 5–8). dist_costa – Distance to the coastline. altitude – Elevation (m above sea level). dist_ti_km – Distance (km) to the nearest Indigenous Territory. ua_dentro_ti – Indicates whether the sampling unit is located inside an Indigenous Territory (1 = yes, 0 = no). fito – Phytogeographic region according to the FlorestaSC classification. 1k_300 – Distance to urban areas with populations between 300 and 1,000 inhabitants. 2_1k – Distance to urban areas with populations between 1,000 and 2,000 inhabitants. 3_2k – Distance to urban areas with populations between 2,000 and 3,000 inhabitants. 9_3k – Distance to urban areas with populations greater than 3,000 inhabitants. impac_hum – Human impact index. bio1–bio19 – Bioclimatic variables obtained from WorldClim. The dataset includes all variables evaluated during model selection. Not all variables were retained in the final abundance and occurrence models presented in the manuscript.
