Investigating drivers’ geospatial abilities in unfamiliar environments (survey dataset and statistical analysis workflow)

he documents included in this dataset provide information on:a) driving instructions given to each of the two groups (DrivingInstructions.pdf)<br>b) an exemplary questionnaire given to participants translated in English (DriversExemplaryQuestionnaire.pdf)<br>- (a) and (b) are accompanied with a txt metadata file named accordingly.<br>c) The dataset of collected participants responses, in the form of a zip archive (drivers_data.7z). <br>It constitutes the responses of the participants to the questionnaire in tabular form of csv files.The collected data are categorized in distinct csv files according to the theme/topic/part of the survey they correspond to, e.g., Demographics, Santa Barbara Sense of Direction scale (SBSoD), etc.; five csv files comprise the dataset.<br>- Metadata on each csv file and their column headings are also included in a txt file, named accordingly (DriversDataMetadata.txt). <br>d) Finally, the R script (drivers.R) to run all statistical analyses detailed in the paper and to generate Figure 4 and the contents of Tables 1 and 2 is also included. The R script needs calling the above-mentioned dataset of participants' responses (c), to run effectively.<br>
