资源简介:
This study enrolled five male patients diagnosed with short bowel syndrome (SBS), all of whom had undergone extensive small intestinal resection due to either intestinal volvulus or vascular ischemia, with a remaining jejunal length of 0-40 cm and colon continuity preserved. None of the patients exhibited clinical signs of active inflammatory bowel disease or intestinal motility disorders. All patients received treatment with the GLP-2 analog teduglutide, and fecal samples were collected from the wash solution during enteroscopy at three time points: prior to treatment initiation (0 months), and at 6 and 12 months post-initiation, for the purpose of evaluating longitudinal changes in the intestinal microbiome under GLP-2 therapy.
