PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning agent for pulp capable of cleaning soils deposited on a pulp raw material efficiently. SOLUTION: The cleaning agent for pulp is a cleaning agent for pulp containing a polyoxyalkylene compound (A) having HLB (Oda method) of 8-18 and a cloud point (1 wt.% aqueous solution) of 56-95°C and is characterized by that the polyoxyalkylene compound (A) is a compound (A1) represented by the general formula below (1) or a compound (A2) represented by the general formula below (2). R-(EO)a-(PO)b-(EO)c-H (1); R-(EO)d/(PO)e-(PO)f-(EO)g-H (2); R is an alkyl group of a carbon number of 8-22 or an alkenyl group of a carbon number of 8-22; EO is an oxyethylene group， PO is an oxypropylene group， a is an integer of 1-30， b is an integer of 0-7， c is an integer of 0-20， d is an integer of 1-20， e is an integer of 1-8， f is an integer of 0-5， g is an integer of 0-15; - shows block， / shows random， and H shows hydrogen atom.
