This dataset consists of 50 audio recordings of short Mandarin Chinese sentences recorded by a 21-year-old female native speaker. The content of these sentences cover fundamental statements about Hong Kongs local culture and artistic life, inculding films, theatre, traditional opera and iconic landmarks, showcasisng Hong Kongs diversity and robust development as an international metropolis in the entertainment sector. The dataset has a total duration of about 4 minutes, saving as the WAV format. The sentence collection sources include both AI-generated content and original creations. All audio was recorded in a relatively quiet environment using Praat, with the built-in microphone of a laptop. Both Chinese text and PINYIN are provided for convenient reference.
