Expression profiling of mRNA in human ectopic endometrial stromal cells of ovarian endometriosis with ACACA siRNA transfection and FIN56 treatment

Ferroptosis resistance has been demonstrated to occur in endometriosis (EMs). Although acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (ACACA) inhibition have been proven to suppress ferroptosis, the detailed mechanism involved has not yet been fully elucidated. Thus, this study aimed to explore the role of ferroptosis and ACACA in EMs. Expression profiling of mRNA in human ectopic endometrial stromal cells (ecESCs) with ACACA siRNA transfection and FIN56 treatment were determined by high-throughput sequencing techniques in 3 patients with EMs. Our study provides new evidence for understanding the pathological mechanism of endometriosis and developing novel treatment strategies.
