These plans are of National Emergency Services Constructional Schemes which give details of modifications to existing buildings used as First Aid Posts and shelters. The modifications largely concern types of timber strengthenings to be used in classrooms and other public buildings, and wire and blackout screens for classroom windows.The plans were drawn by the Government Architect's Branch of the Department of Public Works. They are indexed in a card index available in the Western Sydney reading room.(SR Plan Nos. 2788-810). 23 plans.Note:This description is extracted from Concise Guide to the State Archives of New South Wales, 3rd Edition 2000.
