Spanish port cities exposed to NOx air pollution from cruise ships in 2017

Of the Spanish port cities displayed, Barcelona was exposed to the highest levels of nitrogen oxide (NOx) pollution from cruise ships in 2017. At 729,481 kilograms, this was more than twice the NOx emission levels recorded at Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Throughout Europe, Spain was the most exposed country to cruise ship NOx emissions, followed by Italy.
