In arid and semi-arid desert areas of northern China, we used 16S rRNA metabarcoding to characterize soil microbial diversity, and used satellite-derived datasets were acquired to quantify vegetation productivity. We aims to understanding the relationship soil microbial diversity and productivity is essential to the management and preservation of biodiversity.
