Habitat Connectivity and Restoration of Semi-Evergreen Vine Thickets - Stage 1

This project will restore connectivity, increase extent and improve the condition of semi-evergreen vine thicket in the Mount Etna locality, approximately 30 kilometres north of Rockhampton. By planting endemic semi-evergreen vine thicket species and controlling weeds, this project will restore connectivity to adjacent remnant semi-evergreen vine thicket vegetation, increase the extent of this threatened ecosystem, improve the condition of existing and adjacent vegetation to enable resistance and resilience to weed incursion. This will directly benefit the endangered northern quoll and flora species. Green Army participants will gain skills in conservation management, revegetation and network with potential future employers.
