Hsp70 was involved in the inhibitory effects of YC-1 in differentiated PC12 cells.

Differentiated PC12 cells were incubated with YC-1 (10 µM) in the presence of Aβ25–35 (10 µM) for 24 h and quercetin (50 µM; an Hsp70 inhibitor) was added to the medium 30 min before the addition of YC-1. (A) Cell viability was estimated using an MTT assay in differentiated PC12 cells. The expression of (B) μ-calpain, (C) p25, and (D) p-tau was determined by Western blotting.
