Dataset for "A hypothesis-based approach to species identification in the fossil record: a papionin case study"

This dataset is associated with Brasil et al. (2024), published in Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution. The dataset includes dental metrics, cranial metrics, taxonomic IDs, and sex IDs for all Parapapio individuals analyzed in this study, as well as all individuals in the three comparative samples: Papio hamadryas cynocephalus, Papio hamadryas sspp., and Macaca fascicularis.
