fitness of control and selected populations on standard and high protein: carbohydrate diet

This data is from laboratory populations of D. melanogaster that have evolved tolerance to chronic larval malnutrition, in an experimental evolution set-up maintained for over 180 generations. The six evolved (selected) populations (S1-S6) and the corresponding six control populations (C1-C6) were raised as larvae on standard and high protein: carbohydrate (high P:C) diet. The emerging adult females were assayed for three traits: a) susceptibility to intestinal infection by Pseudomonas entomophila; b) ability to restore intestinal integrity upon infection (smurf phenotype); and c) body weight upon emergence. The excel file here presents the data from these assays.
