The veined rapa whelk Rapana venosa is an important and valuable fishery resource in China, but a major invader around the world, which is a poikilotherm that susceptible to temperature. The predation of R. venosa massively increased at 16℃ and reached a peak at approximately 22℃ (Song et al. 2016). We analyzed the digestive tract microflora composition of the R. venosa under different temperatures (16℃, 22℃ and 28 ℃) by 16S rRNA gene sequencing, which may provide a further understand to the effect of temperature on digestion and ingestion of gastropods and a new insight of the invasion of R. venosa.
