Description of the data and file structureCounts of dead or dying animals were collected during the HPAI H5N1outbreak in Punta San Juan, Peru. Daily visual surveillance for dead or sick animals was conducted on foot by established paths at Punta San Juan reserve from November 23, 2022 through May 31, 2023 using binoculars (10x42) and digital cameras (Cannon PowerShot SX60) .
