Draft Genome Sequence of a Novel Mycobacterium avium Complex isolated in Thailand

A novel Mycobacterium species closely related to Mycobacterium vulneris and Mycobacterium senriense was isolated from the blood culture of a patient with sepsis. Genome analysis indicated that the isolated strain represents a new species within the Mycobacterium avium complex.These data are expected to enhance our understanding of the pathogenicity and diversity of the Mycobacterium avium complex.
