Protection, Restoration and Threat Reduction for Terrestrial and Aquatic Endangered Ecosystems and Species Habitat of National Significance

This project will benefit 49 244 hectares of terrestrial and aquatic endangered ecosystems and species habitat of national significance in the Condamine river catchment over a five year period. This will be achieved by building on known stakeholder capacity in and motivation towards managing weeds, pest animals and fencing of significant areas. The project will provide information and management tools to stakeholders for appropriate fire use, sustainable grazing, and restoration of erosion sites. In addition, some support will be provided to ex-situ conservation management with the expectation of increased stakeholder engagement through personal experience of threatened species.
