Elevation as a key driver of half-millennium disturbance history in Central European mountain natural forests: dataset

This is a dataset to the paper Elevation as a key driver of half-millennium disturbance history in Central European mountain natural forests. This dataset contains tree-level, site-level and tree-ring growth data and R code to perform disturbance analysis and GLMM models explaining the effect of ecological gradient on disturbance frequency. Inputs Input data contains "Bohemian_Forest_disturbances.xlsx" file including: (i) average_decadal_growth_changes - decadal growth changes calculated for each tree-ring series; (ii) factors - tree- or site-level characteristics of each sample (region, geographical coordinates, elevation, aspect, slope, forest type). R scripts Skripts include all the steps of GLMM analysis: (i) transforming values into binary (ii) checking for temporal autocorellation, (iii) exploratory analysis, (iv) glmmTMB model analysis, (v) plotting the data.
