RNA-seq analysis identifies key genes and signaling pathways involved in Hetian sheep sebaceous gland proliferation promoted by androgen.

In this study, 15 adult Hetian ewes were randomly divided into 5 groups. Hetian ewes were injected with 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 mg/kg testosterone every 3 days, and treated for 42 days. Back skin tissues were collected on the 42nd day, and the effects of androgen treatment on skin gene expression patterns were explored by transcriptomic sequencing technology. Identify the key genes and signaling pathways of androgens affecting lipid metabolism in sheep skin.
