Survey of Consumer Credit, 1977 and Survey of Consumer Finances, 1978 : Merged File

<p>This data collection contains two surveys that were intended to record people's attitudes towards credit and finances. The respondents were asked their opinion on: credit debt in general, borrowing money, money-lending institutions, savings, credit and borrowing terms, unfair treatment by credit institutions, credit cards (including type, number, frequency of use), and billing processes. There are also data on employment and housing conditions. Additionally, there are data on household financial conditions, including ownership of recreation items, vehicles, types of loans, credit insurance information, amount and types of bank accounts, type of expenditures and debt, and demographics information.</p>
