Syria in the Dark - Replication Data

Replication data for "Syria in the Dark: Estimating the Economic Consequences of the Civil War through Satellite-Derived Night-Time Lights" by Giorgia Giovannetti and Elena Perra. The paper uses satellite derived night time lights to estimate the Syrian GDP damages due to the Civil War of 2011-onwards. We find higher damages than those reported by official statistics. We provide projections for long-term GDP recovery.
