The Effect of Four Classical Formulas for Six-Meridian Syndromes in Traditional Chinese Medicine on DSS-induced Ulcerative Colitis and Intestinal Microecology in Mice

The classic formulas of Gegenqinlian decoction (GQD), Dachaihu decoction (DCD), Wumei pill (WP), and Lianmei decoction (LD), which were applied to six-meridians syndromes in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), were studied in this research. These formulas have been widely used in treating intestinal inflammatory diseases in China. However, these formulas' different regulatory effects on ulcerative colitis (UC) remain to be explored.This study aimed to compare the effects of GQD, DCD, WP, and LD on UC and gut microbiota and explore possible therapeutic mechanisms.
