Sulfur regulation on microbial biodiversity in a montane peatland

This research investigated the sulfur and acidity drivers to microbial diversity of a montane peatland within the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area of NSW, Australia. This region experiences increasingly sporadic precipitation rates, landscape dehydration, and soil exposure, which may release acidity in catchment headwaters. This study explored the microbial controls on sulfur utilisation and potential acidity storage in a pristine montane ecosystem.
