Crop rotation have been proved to increase soil fertility and crop productivity. Including legumes in the creal-creal rotation could improve the crop yield and improve the uptake of nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) of subsequent cereals. Soil microorganisms played important roles in enhancing nutrient uptake of crops, but little is known about the effects of legume-cereal crop rotations on soil microbial communities and functional genes. We investigated the impacts of crop rotation managements of soybean-wheat (SW) and maize-wheat (MW) on soil microbial communities and genes involved in P transformation in a field experiment.
