A psychophysical study was conducted to evaluate the performance of three melanopsin-based spatial brightness metrics (B, R, M17) through two psychophysical experiments. A total of 39 pairs of lighting conditions were generated representing two nominal CCT (2700 K and 4700 K) and three vertical illuminance (40 lx, 75 lx, 120 lx) in experiment 1, and three nominal CCT (2700 K, 4000 K, 6000 K) and three vertical illuminance (50 lx, 100 lx, 300 lx) in experiment 2. Subjective responses to brightness perception was reported.
