These data are adopted to reproduce the results in Chau et al. (2022, accepted), entitled "Understanding the dynamic properties of trees using the motions constructed from multi-beam flash light detection and ranging measurements". These data include: The point-cloud data scanned by a multi-beam flash LiDAR sensor that records the vibration of trees under pull-and-release tests and typhoon conditions. The meteorological data recorded by the local meteorological stations at the HKUST campus, i.e., the Supersite and SEPO stations. The vibration of tree recorded by a tree motion sensor. The vibration of tree recorded by a laser-based LVDT. The data for analyzing the accuracy and resolution of the LiDAR sensor. The movie clips, which illustrate the vibration of tree in the form of point-cloud frames. For details, please refer to "Readme" file or contact the corresponding author.
