Abstract—Magnetic Resonance Imaging play a vital role in the

decision-diagnosis process of brain MR images. For an accurate diagnosis of brain related problems, the experts mostly compares both T1 and T2 weighted images as the information presented in these two images are complementary. In this paper, rotational and translational invariant form of Local binary Pattern (LBP) with additional gray scale information is used to retrieve similar slices of T1 weighted images from T2 weighted images or vice versa. The incorporation of additional gray scale information on LBP can extract more local texture information. The accuracy of retrieval can be improved by extracting moment features of LBP and reweighting the features based on users' feedback. Here retrieval is done in a single subject scenario where similar images of a particular subject at a particular level are retrieved, and multiple subjects scenario where relevant images at a particular level across the subjects are retrieved. 脑部核磁共振影像的决策诊断过程。为确保脑部相关问题的准确诊断，专家们通常对比T1和T2加权影像，因其所呈现的信息具有互补性。在本研究中，采用了具有附加灰度信息的旋转和平移不变形式的局部二值模式（LBP），以从T2加权影像中检索与T1加权影像相似切片，或反之亦然。在LBP中融入额外的灰度信息能够提取更多的局部纹理信息。通过提取LBP的矩特征并对特征进行基于用户反馈的重加权，可以提升检索的准确性。在此检索过程中，考虑了单一受试者场景，即检索特定水平特定受试者的相似影像，以及多受试者场景，即检索跨越多个受试者的特定水平的关联影像。关键词：局部二值模式（LBP）、改进的局部二值模式（MOD-LBP）、T1和T2加权影像、矩特征。
