We have generated whole genome fosmid sequence data from a HapMap trio child, NA12878, for which reliable haplotypes have already been produced by 1000 Genomes Project. We have assembled haplotypes using eight published algorithms for the SIH problem and carried out direct comparisons of their accuracy, completeness and efficiency
